INOX will cover most of the applications most of the times where an anti-corrosion lubricant is required, but there are times when a heavier, longer lasting anti-corrosion lubricant is needed to do the job. 4 years of research and testing went into LANOX before it was brought to the market. About 70% of the time LANOX and INOX can be used for the same application, INOX is more suitable for the lighter applications such as electrical, fishing, garage doors, hobbies etc. and LANOX is suitable for the more extreme climate and high humidity conditions.

PROTECTION
Protects all painted and bare metal surfaces in the open from moisture and corrosion – Protects all timber surfaces for water and dry rot ( may slightly darken bare timber but it will not harm it) – Waterproofs and protects leather harness’s, boots, etc. Protects Firearms, barrels, etc in long term storage, will not harm stocks or metal finishes.
TRAILERS
Boat, box & car trailers and horse floats, spray on chassis, springs, axles, hinges, couplings, winches, cables. light fittings and electricals for protection from sea air and salt water corrosion.
THREAD ANTI-SEIZE
Spray on all metal threads before joining, stops threads from corroding together, makes it easier to undo all joints, nuts, bolts and screws at a later date.
Can it be used on battery terminals on a boat?
Hi Steve,
Thanks for the enquiry.
The LANOX MX4 is commonly used for this application no problems, LANOX MX4 is must have when it come’s to marine related applications.
Regards – INOX Team
you are probably better using the MX4G which is the grease it will stay on longer
Gday can i paint over a surface thats been treated with mx4 Lanox?
Hi Shayne,
Thanks for the enquiry.
If you are using an oil based paint then you will have no problems, most aerosols are fine. I do recommend giving the area a wipe with a cloth though if possible.
Regards – INOX Team
Hi, Can Lanox m4 be used with a traditional air compressor and spray device thanks
Good morning Garth
If you mean you want to run this through a rubber hose and spray, we do not recommend this as overtime this will affect and soften the rubber hose due to the porous nature of natural rubbers.
Kind Regards your Inox Team
Is LANOX MX4 suitable for under body protection on a 4WD that is driven on the beach regularly.
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the enquiry!
It sure is, many 4wd enthusiast’s have been using it for years with great results.

can you use mx3 on a carbon fiber bike
Hi Frederick,
Thanks for the Enquiry. INOX MX3 Does not effect carbon fibre if it is not damaged. INOX MX5 Plus is commonly used in the bicycle industry as it contains PTFE and is great on chains, pivot points and other high speed moving parts.
Regards , INOX Team
Yes Frederick this can be wiped over a carbon fibre bike
Mx4 lanox
On one site it tells me safe on all rubbers
On another site it tells me may effect some rubbers.
Can you clarify.
I would find it hard to spray a PwC engine bay and not come into contact with rubbers.
Can you clarify what rubbers also.
Thanks
Good Morning Brandon
Sorry for the confusion we have rebranded our products and added additional information for consumer on awareness of oil and rubber. MX4 is for protection from corrosion and damaging salt moisture spray on external water craft, motors, power legs, light fittings etc. Inside the engine bay should be sealed and dry and not come into contact with salt water spray. Oil Base lubricants will affect natural rubbers over a long period, broadly defined oil resistance is the ability of a rubber product to perform its intended function while in contact with oil. This recognizes that the elastomer may be swollen or weakened to some extent by the oil.
If you have concerns speak with your PWC Mechanic. Kindest Regards INOX Lubricant Team Mates
Can I use Lanox on my tilt and trim?

Is this product suitable to prevent galvanic corrosion between galvanised bolts and aluminium angles?
Dear Jasnoor
Inox and Lanox are both anti-corrosive lubricants and stop electrolysis between dis-similar metals. Lanox will give an added lanolin coating for a longer lasting effect.
regards your Inox Team
HI Jasnoor
Yes this is suitable for this application
Hi, could you please confirm whether this will prevent galvanic corrosion between galvanised steel and aluminium interface?
Dear Jasnoor
Inox and Lanox are both anti-corrosive lubricants and stop electrolysis between dis-similar metals. Lanox will give an added lanolin coating for a longer lasting effect.

Can i use MX4 in a common 5ltr garden pressure pump sprayer from bunnings, As i want to be able to use the wand and the pressure to spray areas of my inboard motor that a hand held spray wont do when tilted.
Good Morning Darren
Issue with a common garden sprayer is how fine the sprayer/ mist as with using Lanox the lanolin may clog the lines and spray nozzle. We have Applicator Bottles with spray nozzles designed for this application these come with the 5L bottle when purchased. You can of course trial this, if you do make sure you shake this product well before putting it into the pump and before use, we would suggest cleaning the sprayer and nozzle immediately after to prevent clogging of your pressure pump with lanolin, clean through with warm soapy water.
Regards The INOX Team
Hi,
Can Lanox be directly applied to an aluminium boat in places that are vulnerable to corrosion, such as the aluminium frame that supports a casting deck? These locations often show aluminium corrosion no matter how well washed with fresh water they are. Is Lanox MX4 safe to use directly on aluminium?
Yes Lanox is safe to use directly onto Aluminium, this is a great product for your frame and supports in your boat. This will displace the water and protect from corrosion.
Greetings,
How long does the product take to dry, please? (When spraying a vehicle, that is).
I have a Patina vehicle and am looking for a product that I can spray on to protect the rusty surface . I may want to paint the vehicle in the future but want to eliminate any further corrosion at this point – has Lanox MX4 been used in this application before that you know of ? Is the product liable to attract or pick up dust ( sticky once applied)?
MX3 and MX4 are Anti Static so will not pick up dust , MX3 will wash off with Warm soap water but with MX4 you will need to use Diggers White Spirit to remove before painting.
For aluminium awning & sliding windows and sliding doors in an ocean front setting highly exposed to salt air is it better to use Inox on the runners and winders and Lanox on the frames? Or doesn’t matter which?
The MX4 will give you a long lasting better protection against the salt environment.
Hi, I’m using panic for underbody rust protection on my 4×4. How long would you expect one application to last? Or at what intervals would you suggest to reapply? Thanks.
Hi Cory
Are you using MX4 for your underbody if so this will give a good protection for a 3-6 month period but if you are taking your vehicle on the beach and giving your underbody a wash down when you return you would want to reapply
Hi is the MX4 good for external padlocks ?
Hi Steve Yes we have a lot of Locksmiths who use this product externally and also the MX3 internally regards the inox team
