INOX and LANOX anti-corrosion, anti-moisture lubricants are ideal for marine use, they do not dry out or wash off with water, they are non-conductive and non-staining and stop electrolysis between aluminium and stainless steel in salt water.
Penetration & Protection
INOX-MX3 will readily free rusted and salt corroded boat fittings and parts, light sockets, switches, hinges, locks, steering cables, shackle bolts, slides, etc
Use LANOX-MX4 on all external fittings, aerials, lights, switches, hinges, locks, radar and radio brackets, air conditioning unit and fan motors, refrigeration units, etc on an ongoing basis will keep these items in a good serviceable corrosion free condition for their full intended life.
Use INOX-MX3 internally to protect wiring harnesses and cables, radar, radios, GPS and sounder equipment, all switches and light fittings. Spray into starter motors, alternators, generators, relays, regulators, solenoids to protect from moisture and corrosion.
Use LANOX-MX4 grease on oar locks, anchor shackles and chains for protection from corrosion.
Lead-acid batteries
Spray LANOX-MX4 over battery cradles and brackets to prevent corrosion. Use LANOX-MX4 grease on battery terminals to protect them from corrosion.
Add INOX-MX2 Battery Conditioner to all lead-acid batteries for longer life, better performance and quicker recharging. It also reduces the self discharge rate of the battery by 50% when not being used in the lay season.
Lubrication
Use LANOX-MX4 externally to lubricate cables, locks and hinges, linkages, sliding hatches, winches, starter motors, generators, alternators, sliding windows and doors, sail tracks (ideal), deck pulleys and any other equipment or fittings that requires a good anti-corrosion lubricant.
Use INOX-MX8 grease to lubricate steering cables, engine and gearbox control cables, deck winch bearings, cable guides and winch cables. INOX-MX8 is virtually waterproof and a anti-corrosion lubricant.
Jet Skis and Outboards
After washing down with fresh water, spray LANOX-MX4 all over jet ski motors and outboards, power legs, cables and linkages for ongoing protection against moisture and corrosion. LANOX-MX4 may affect some rubbers with long term use.
Boat trailers and Towbars
Use INOX-MX3 to protect light fittings, wiring and plugs from corrosion on towbars and INOX-MX8 grease on towballs.
Use LANOX-MX4 for the protection from corrosion for light fittings, wiring and plugs, Melt LANOX-MX4 grease and paint it on the chassis, axles and springs and use INOX-MX8 Extreme Pressure P.T.F.E. grease for the trailer wheel bearings.
Jet Skis
Use LANOX-MX4 lubricant to protect jet ski motors and fittings. INOX-MX3 and LANOX-MX4 may affect some jet ski rubber seals with long term use. Avoid spraying rubber and remove any lubricant from rubber and hoses. Refer to INOX-MX6 for rubber grease applications for seals and o-rings.
Hulls and Anti-Fouling
Spray INOX-MX3 on oxidized fibreglass hulls and buff polish off with a rotary polisher. Cleans off the oxidization and protects against further oxidization, leaves the hull looking like new.
Melt LANOX-MX4 grease and paint on all metal fittings below the water line for anti-fouling and corrosion protection, on metal hulls, propellors, rudders, water in/outlets, bow thrusters, etc. Stops marine growth for to 2 years.
Stops electrolysis between dissimilar metals.
The Great Lakes, USA, LANOX-MX4 grease painted on hulls below the waterline will stop the growth of Zebra clams on the hull.
Work Boats and Trawlers
For corrosion protection, melt LANOX-MX4 grease and paint it on all above deck metal booms and hinge pins, motor, drum and winch housings, winch and drum cables, pulley blocks, radio antennas and radar equipment, all metal deck fittings, shackles, anchors and chains.
Engineering
INOX-MX3 is a very good lubricant for cutting, drilling, tapping and machining aluminium and stainless steel. With aluminium it stops tool chatter and tool creep, tearing and burring, leaves a very fine, clean cut finish. LANOX-MX4 is also a good tapping and thread cutting lubricant for copper rod, brass and monel nuts used on the larger old style timber sailing boats and fishing trawlers. Use INOX-MX3 on carborundum stones for sharpening knives, hooks, chisels, etc.
Protection
Use INOX-MX3 and LANOX-MX4 for protection from corrosion and damaging salt moisture spray on outboard motors and power legs, into all light fittings and switches on boats and trailers, electronic circuits, wiring harness, radios, radar and antennas, starter motors, generators and alternators, gauges, air conditioning and refrigeration fan motors and anywhere corrosion is a problem.
