Cutting, tapping and milling lubricant
INOX-MX3 is considered as being the best cutting and machining lubricant for aluminium and aluminium alloys. It gives a clean and smooth finish and stops the problems of tool chatter, tool creep, furring and burring that are normally associated with working those metals. Saw blades will run cooler, cut cleaner and last a lot longer then they would using the more conventional solvent based cutting lubricants.
LANOX-MX4 is a good lubricant for drilling, tapping and thread cutting of all metals. When drilling aluminium, LANOX-MX4 will dramatically reduces burring and heat generated, the drill bits run a lot cooler, giving them a lot longer service life.
INOX-MX3 will reduce the instances of work hardening when used as a lubricant for the machining of stainless steel and will give this metal a clean, smooth finish.
Use INOX-MX3 for drilling and tapping titanium
INOX-MX3 and LANOX-MX4 are not effected by cutting oil viruses or the problems associated with soluble oil type lubricants.
INOX-MX3 or LANOX-MX4 never needs replacing, just top up the reservoir as they are used up. They will keep reservoirs, pumps and feed lines clean and free from corrosion. INOX-MX3 and LANOX-MX4 can be used by a hand held applicator for individual and one off machining applications.
INOX-MX3 is a good lubricant for metal plate cutting blades as used on guillotines.
Stamping and punching
INOX-MX3 lubricant will allow metal to be cleanly hole punched and stamped without sticking or jamming. Spray or paint a liberal coat of INOX-MX3 on the plate and bars to be stamped or punched or coat the punch tool or stamp.
Welding and coatings
INOX-MX3 is a good lubricant for wire feeders on MIG welders, stops jamming and corrosion and allows the wire to feed smoothly. Spraying the welding nozzle tip with INOX-MX3 reduces damage caused by the welding process.
Spray INOX-MX3 on ferrous steel welds (especially on jobs built outside in the open air) to protect against rust forming until painting or powder coating is done. INOX-MX3 can be painted over with oil based primers without first removing the INOX-MX3 coating.
Once cleaned with white spirits, INOX-MX3 is compatible with powder coating. INOX-MX3 and LANOX-MX4 is easily removed with INOX-MX11 or most mineral based solvents.
INOX-MX3 and LANOX-MX4 will not harm painted, enamelled and powder coated surfaces or finishes.
Lubrication and protection
INOX-MX3 has a fine enough texture so that it can be used to lubricate and protect vernier callipers and micrometers from rust and corrosion.
Spray LANOX-MX4 on finished steel and alloy parts and fittings such as crankshafts, engine blocks, cam shafts, production line machined fittings, to protect them against corrosion and extend their shelf life until used.
Use INOX-MX3 to protect against corrosion and lubricate for trouble free operation, spindles, chucks, tool clamps, threaded shafts, fastenings, lathe beds, etc, on power hacksaws, milling machine, lathes, drilling and boring machines.
INOX-MX3 will protect from corrosion between use, milling heads, reamers and cutting tools, etc.
INOX-MX3 will protect any bare metal surfaces on machines against corrosion. LANOX-MX4 will help protect against rust and corrosion, new plate, bar, rod and tube steel stored in the open air.
Use INOX-MX3 to clean hand tools and keep them free from corrosion.
Soluble oil type lubricants
INOX-MX3 and LANOX-MX4 are not compatible with soluble oil type cutting lubricants, reservoirs and feed lines must be flushed clean before using INOX-MX3 or LANOX-MX4 as a cutting oil lubricant.
Because most soluble oil type cutting lubricants have no anti-corrosion component, rust and corrosion can form on lathes and milling machines using this type of lubricant. INOX-MX3 will protect lathes and milling machines from corrosion, but the soluble oil must be washed off first or INOX-MX3 may lose its’ effectiveness in protecting this equipment.
INOX-MX3 will draw any corrosion out of the pores of the metal and quite commonly the next day after applying it, equipment can have a reddish brown coating, this is caused by the cleaning action of INOX-MX3 drawing corrosion to the surface of the metal. By spraying on more INOX-MX3 and wiping with a coarse weave cotton clothe will clean away the leached corrosion deposits and allow the INOX-MX3 to continue to keep equipment clean and corrosion free.
Hot caustic cleaning baths
This type of cleaning bath is designed for effectively cleaning grease, baked on oil resins and carbon from engine parts and blocks before regrinding and reboring. Depending on where the caustic bath is situated, inside or outside the building, the caustic fumes can have an effect on anti-corrosion coatings on finished parts up to 50 feet from where the bath is sited. INOX-MX3 and LANOX-MX4 are very good anti-corrosion products for finished metal surfaces, but there effectiveness can be impaired by fumes from a caustic bath. Always store finished engine parts and blocks well away from where the caustic bath is situated. There are no set rules for this, trial and error is the only way to determine a safe distance.
